Rejected album cover for AC/Dc's Highway to Hell

AC/DC continue to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Highway to Hell - Angus and the boys recently released the original Highway to Hell album artwork. The reason why the artwork was rejected? The American label said it was too hellish....wasn't that the point?

The group shot of AC/DC was the same as the one that appeared on the official release, but Angus Young’s devil horns look a little more evil with band members engulfed in flames. The album title sits on a guitar fretboard at the bottom, whereas the final product didn’t include the guitar. AC/DC says the concept was “shot down in flames by the American record company.”
